Networking Fundamentals

Instructor

Brad Williams

What made this class so fantastic was the trainer and his communication style, I think it helps that he wrote the class material too. He was able to put things in simple terms while never talking down and his analogies assisted in easy comprehension. Sure we we could hire this guy to write our WEB training classes? Here is an excerpt from an email to my Director I sent after the first day of class:

Excellent!!! This teacher is fabulous! I find it amazing that it took semester's of networking classes with top grades to learn networking topology's and protocol's but only 8 hrs for a teacher to turn the light on and connect the dots. Proves getting the right answer and having comprehension are two different things. EVERYONE in this class keeps getting ah ha's, no one wants to take a break instead we hit the teacher with questions, and we still have today to go!

Thanks,
Deana D. Wolfe

Call Manager Sys Admin and Unity

Instructor

Dave Bateman

During the week of April 4th thru the 8th I attended the Cisco CallManger System Administration class and the Unity Administration class at the Chicago Skyline and it was taught by Dave Bateman. I am sure you have heard this on many occasions, but when someone does an exceptional job I like to ackownledge the fact. I have attended lots of class in my 30 years of telecom experience and I truly think that Dave is the best instructor I have ever had. He truly has a FIRE about the product. Cisco should bottle him and take him out on their presentations. I think he has managed to start a spark of fire in me and for that I am very thankful.

CCMSA and UCSA

Instructor

Roger Robert

I want to thank you, the trainers and the other folks at Skyline who helped with our on-site training. Skyline provided an excellent service during the Cisco telephone user and administration classes held here recently. I was out of town during the user training and did not have a chance to meet the instructor, but heard it was excellent. I did have a chance to sit in on some of the administrative classes with Roger Robert and was very impressed. Roger did an excellent job teaching and was very patient with all of our questions.

I was also impressed with the equipment you supplied. The sessions went flawlessly. I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for Cisco training!

IP Telephony Boot Camp

Toby Sauer, Roger Robert, Keith Edwards

I just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed with the skills of your instructors Toby Sauer, Keith Edwards, and Roger Robert. They were very well versed in their respective subject matters, and did a fine job with difficult, very fast paced material.

They were all very professional, and adapted to the situations thrown at them from this particular IP Telephony bootcamp class & location quickly.

I would gladly take a course again from any of them. They all did a terrific job, and I had a very memorable experience in their class. They are to be commended.

The course itself was quite intense. But again, the instructors did a great job with the tasks assigned to them.

Note that this is my opinion as an attendee, and not an endorsement from Cisco Systems.

IPTT v4.0

Instructor

Toby Sauer

I filled out an evaluation for the IPTT course given two weeks ago in Detroit by Toby Sauer. There was however no question regarding his passion for the subject. Toby is one of the three best instructors I've had over the last 30 years. He has an excellent grasp of the subject and presents it, not just by reading the book. I can assure you that I can read quite well and I do not need that type of instruction.

He allowed the class to explore any related subject as long as it has some bearing on some part of the material and only brought us back to order when nothing more was to be gained from the side discussion. This brings out lots of in-depth learning. He presented the concepts in a very precise manner with a great deal of insistence on the exact technical terms when posing questions or getting answers from the class.

The remote labs do not give the touch and feel, but they are getting there. Toby and Frank? put in a lot of work to have them up to an acceptable level. He had the flexibility and knowledge to give us good bugs that were both challenging and not effected by the problems with the remote lab setup. At times he even used the delay that was present to show how things actually happen.

In short an excellent course and I can assure you that I have not been promised any kick back for these comments.
